We are Victorian Tile Restoration specialists and we usually we start with a brief consultation over the phone followed by a free site survey and assessment. A written estimate will then be provided, these are especially required for insurance or listed building proposals. These are valid for 12 months.
A floor usually presents with a few broken pieces which can be swapped out and replaced or in worst case scenarios when the floor has totally blown then we will remove the entire floor, repair or relay substrate and replace and in some circumstances extend to a new area. We integrate traditional and new building techniques to bring that original finish.
When matching the plain (1 colour) geometric pieces we use a mixture of reclaimed tiles and new tiles to restore the floor. For the encaustic pieces (patterned) some being quite rare if we can’t find these at the salvage yard or on social media then they will be hand made to order.
